About Al Iraqiya Sports:

Al Iraqiya Sports is one of the Iraqi Media Network channels and formas an important joint of the network, was founded on June 12, 2005, and began to land broadcast in Baghdad, Karbala, Nasiriyah and Basra, and then proceeded to the satellite broadcast via Nilesat, it broadcasts the Iraq Super League, the Iraqi team and clubs matches.

After Al Iraqiya Sports was founded in 2005, it tried to obtained the rights to broadcast Iraq Super League matches, which was being broadcasted on Al-Nahrain, an agreement between the two channels for a joint transfer of the league matches has occured and after the closing Al-Nahrain, the league broadcast rights has turned to Al Iraqiya Sports, and it is still having the exclusive rights for the league till this season 2011 - 2012 and the channel transfers three matches directly for each round of the league
